Paxia is the capital province of the Republic of Checkland and serves as the nation's political, administrative, and population centre. As the seat of the national government, Paxia is home to the Executive House, the offices of the Government of Checkland, and numerous national institutions.
The province is divided into two municipalities: the Municipality of Halgonia, which serves as the provincial capital and is home to the Executive House and other government facilities, and the City of New Enfield, a predominantly natural area located to the north and home to Paxia National Park. Together, these municipalities form the heart of the Republic, balancing government administration, natural preservation, and community development.
