The Republic of Vera Libertas, commonly referred to as Vera Libertas, is a micronation located in New Jersey, United States. It was founded on July 5, 2024. The current Minister of Vera Libertas is Michael Jimenez, while Ian Sawyer serves as Grand Director and Director of Foreign Affairs. Vera Libertas operates as a representative democracy consisting of three branches of government: an Executive Branch led by the Minister and his Cabinet, a unicameral Legislative Branch, and a Judicial Branch headed by the Top Justice.
