Curnon, officially the Unitary Republic of Curnon, and often abbreviated as the U.R.C., is a self-declared sovereign state founded on 31 December 2022 by Asa Ward. Curnon the asserts itself as a sovereign entity separate from any recognized nation-state, and of any micronation, despite the international community not recognizing its claims to sovereignty. Curnon is known to promote and advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and fight discrimination of all kinds, serving as a safe space for LGBTQ+ folk. The nation was formally in attendance at MicroCon 2023 and MicroCon 2025.

Founded on mutual respect and common principles, Checkland and Curnon stand as sovereign partners. This embassy represents our trust, recognition, and continued commitment to cooperation within the micronational community. At MicroCon 2025, the Republic of Checkland and the Unitary Republic of Curnon formally entered into a Mutual Recognition Treaty. This accord acknowledges and affirms the sovereignty, independence, and legitimacy of both nations. It establishes the foundation for enduring diplomatic relations, peaceful cooperation, and mutual support in intermicronational affairs. The Government of the Republic of Checkland views this treaty as a significant step toward strengthening international understanding and fostering a spirit of friendship and respect between our two nations.
